Job summary

FutureCare in Baltimore, MD seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement treatment plans for residents, promote movement, and educate families on continued care. This is a hands-on, highly physical role requiring empathy and clear communication.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, provide documentation, monitor progress, and participate in discharge planning in a long-term care setting. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license or eligible for license in Maryland.
• Training or experience in long-term or sub-acute setting.
• Active membership in the state and national American Physical Therapy Association preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments to residents according to evaluations and treatment plans.
• Exercise sound judgment and provide effective and efficient care.
• Observe, record, and report changes in residents' conditions to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain daily treatment records and progress notes.
• Discontinue any procedure that appears harmful and notify the supervising therapist.
• Ensure review of care rendered by the Physical Therapist per regulations.
