Job summary

The position requires a High School Diploma and 6 months of phlebotomy experience, with CPT certification preferred. Working hours are 40 per week in a non-exempt, on-site setting in Wheeling, WV.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certification (CPT).
• Six (6) months of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Consistently draws blood competently and expediently with minimal patient discomfort across age groups.
• Properly labels all specimens in the presence of the patient.
• Operate basic laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, computer systems, labeling printers, scanners, phone system).
• Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and staff.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, report distribution, processing, and faxing.
• If applicable, collect drug screens using Chain of Custody Process.
