Job summary

Labcorp in Rockford, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, handle specimen processing, and provide excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience; certification is preferred. Work schedule includes evenings and some weekends with occasional travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
