Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas (MANA) seeks a Phlebotomist to draw blood and obtain specimens for clinical testing. You will verify patient identity, collect samples, and ensure proper labeling and tube types to support accurate results.

The role emphasizes professionalism in venipuncture and patient care, including multiple sticks when required, with adherence to Medicare guidelines and documentation practices across on-site clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy in all work; Complete tasks on time and per deadlines, label specimens with a high degree of accuracy, ensure proper tubes are used for each blood test ordered
• Verify the identity of every patient before collecting any samples
• Identification and sample collection using paper orders in the event of an interruption in computer service
• Be aware of Medicare guidelines, send-out test requirements, and special tests; Explain Medicare ABNs to patients clearly and accurately
• Perform venipuncture and finger/heel stick procedures with a high degree of professionalism and concern for the patient, including a minimum of 2 sticks per encounter
• Collect nasal and throat swabs and blood cultures when needed
