Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Ensure 100% accuracy by checking requisitions against scripts and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and comply with temperature controls and transport protocols.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations; wear PPE; attend annual trainings.
