Job summary

CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island, NE seeks a compassionate Phlebotomist to collect blood samples and process specimens with accuracy and care.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary draws, label specimens, and ensure patient comfort while maintaining strict safety protocols. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and up to 3 months phlebotomy experience; certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days.
• Preferred: 3 months phlebotomy in an acute care facility.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection via venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Process specimens and ensure correct labeling and handling.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout blood work.
• Adhere to turnaround times and lab collection procedures.
• Keep phlebotomy trays and stations orderly.
