Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with venipuncture techniques using straight and butterfly needles.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws with care, ensuring patient comfort and sample accuracy.
• Collect, label, and store specimens per established protocols.
• Handle specimens including centrifuging, freezing, and packaging for transport.
• Verify test requisitions with computer labels to maintain accuracy.
• Explain procedures to patients and assist with specimen collections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and decontaminate as required.
• Follow OSHA and DEP safety regulations and participate in trainings.
• Update patient information with attention to detail.
• Assist with troubleshooting and workflow improvements.
• Answer patient inquiries and provide laboratory results when needed.
• Attend required department trainings to stay current with best practices.
