Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Enrolled in a phlebotomy program or equivalent to challenge certification.
• Phlebotomy certificate from an approved professional association (e.g., ASCP, NCCT, CPT-CCI) or Medical Assistant cert (NHA/CCMA).
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• To be considered for Tiering, email supporting docs to Laboratory Director, Supervisors and HR.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe, accurate phlebotomy with compassion and respect.
• Coordinate work with other staff to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Answer phones, process samples, and perform order entry duties.
• Collect additional patient information as needed and inform patients of hospital policies.
• Provide coverage for all shifts as required.
