Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and capillary punctures as ordered.
• Properly labels, logs, and processes specimens per protocols.
• Prepares collection trays and ensures cleanliness/restocking.
• Provides instructions to patients regarding procedures/tests.
• M onitors patient condition during collection and safety.
• Documents specimen collection in LIS.
• Assists with filing, data entry, and patient records.
• Ensures infection control and safety protocols.
• Responds to inquiries about laboratory services.
• Participates in training and quality assurance.
