Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a dedicated team providing accurate specimen collection, prompt processing of samples, and reliable reporting. You will help ensure quality patient care and uphold the hospital's Code of Conduct in daily operations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), basic computer skills, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Good written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Participates in patient specimen collection responsibilities.
• Computer processing of patient specimens before and after collection.
• Process and distribute patient reports.
• Demonstrates understanding and adherence to StoneCrest Code of Conduct
• Performs any duties necessary to the efficient and quality operation of the department.
• This position entails potential for exposure to hazardous medications as defined by TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center’s Hazardous Drug Policy as either hazardous or antineoplastic. All facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications must be followed appropriately.
