Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest in Houston, TX seeks a Phlebotomist to obtain and prepare specimens for analysis, perform venipunctures and capillary sticks, and ensure patient identification and safety during blood collections.

Under supervision, you will work with a team to maintain supplies, follow PPE protocols, and contribute to compassionate patient care across age groups from neonate to geriatric.

Qualifications

• Proficient in phlebotomy techniques including venipuncture and capillary sticks.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
• Certificate in Phlebotomy or equivalent experience preferred, certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Perform venipunctures and capillary blood collection.
• Verify patient identification and follow safety protocols during specimen handling.
• Maintain supplies and assist with processing and distribution of specimens.
