Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to process orders and deliver medications under supervision. You will refill and maintain dispensing machines, enter data, and assist with IV admixtures in a hospital setting.

Must hold a High School diploma with eligibility for state Pharmacy Technician Certification and board registration. Strong computer and data-entry skills, plus excellent communication and customer service abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule.
• Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to patients.
• Fills medication orders, charges/credits, stocks, delivers, and inspects assigned areas.
• Prepares IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds.
• Maintains required certification and knowledge to perform functions compliantly.
• Enters pharmacy orders and handles related clerical duties.
