Ochsner Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution, IV admixture preparation, and order entry within our hospital pharmacy. You will maintain stock, process charges, and ensure accurate medication handling while interacting with nurses and physicians.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and either completion of a para-professional program or a Pharmacy Technician license.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred one year hospital experience.
• Requires one year of college or completion of a para-professional pharmacy training program or certification.

Responsabilités

• Fills medication orders and processes charges/credits.
• Delivers medications and inspects assigned areas.
• Prepares IV admixtures and extemporaneous compounds.
• Maintains stock and operates pharmacy equipment and systems.
• Communicates patient information and order clarifications to pharmacists or nurses.
