Shaggy Dog Market seeks a compassionate Pet Bather to bathe and groom pets, ensuring their comfort and health. You will lift heavy loads, assist with restraint, and maintain clean bathing and kenneling areas while delivering friendly service to pet owners.

Experience in pet grooming or animal care is highly preferred, with knowledge of veterinary practices and strong customer-service skills. This in-person role requires attention to animal wellbeing and hygiene.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in pet grooming, animal care, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Experience with animals of all types, including dogs, cats, and small mammals.
• Familiarity with veterinary procedures and a strong understanding of animal health and wellness.
• Experience with heavy lifting and bending is essential.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to lift 40lbs or more as needed.
• Bathe and groom pets of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Provide gentle and thorough cleaning to pets, including coats, ears, and paws.
• Handle animals safely and humanely, ensuring comfort and well-being at all times.
• Use veterinary-approved shampoos and conditioners to keep pets clean and healthy.
• Assist with animal restraint, if necessary, to prevent injury to pet and staff.
• Clean and maintain the kennel and bathing areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, answering questions professionally.
