Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Personal Care Assistant in Bakersfield, CA to support clients with daily living activities and basic health care tasks. The role involves mobility support, companionship, and adherence to individual care plans.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, current BLS certification, and strong communication skills in English. State licensure or certification as required by the program may be needed. 18+ years old and computer proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS Card required.
• Strong communication skills in English may be required.
• Computer proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Performs incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan.
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client.
• Assists client in self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines and personal hygiene.
• Reports changes in client status as directed by care plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary.
