Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily living activities, mobility, and basic health tasks under guidance of a rehabilitation health professional. The role may be in home or school settings.

The position requires adherence to confidentiality, communication with families and educators, and ability to assist with self-care activities. BLS/CPR and state certification may be required, and applicants must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• Must have effective communication with clients, families, and school staff.
• Proficiency in English language and basic computer use for documentation.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation and supports plans of care.
• Provides health care tasks and personal hygiene services as directed.
• In school settings, accompanies student on bus and participates with supervision.
