Job summary

PCA is seeking Field Staff Personal Care Assistants to support clients in Acworth, GA. This role offers $14.00 to $16.00 per hour with flexible shifts for compassionate, dependable caregivers who live in the area.

Responsibilities include helping with daily living activities, bathing, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship while following each client’s plan of care. CPR/First Aid and TB tests are required.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and able to follow instructions.
• Committed to client health and safety.
• Physically capable of performing required caregiving duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Current TB test.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform lightweight housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
