Job summary

Active Day in Landrum, SC is seeking a Personal Care Aide to support clients with daily living activities, transportation, and health monitoring in home settings. You will promote well-being, maintain safety, and collaborate with care teams to improve quality of life.

The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to multitask across light housekeeping, meal prep, and mobility assistance while following care plans and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Home Health Aide and/or C.N.A certification preferred.
• For driving duties: valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle registration and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and assistance for members with activities of daily living and personal care as needed (e.g. arrival and departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, therapies, rest room assistance, etc.).
• Provide home support and assists in maintaining a healthy environment by performing duties (i.e: light cleaning, laundry, shopping and home safety).
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks and clear tables; assist with feeding as needed.
• Observe members for change in condition or unusual occurrences. Escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Run errands as needed (i.e. shopping for food, personal items, meet and/or take to appointments)
• Ensure the safety of members by monitoring activities, keeping a sanitary, clutter-free environment.
• Communicate in a positive, courteous and professional manner with members and their families, co-workers, referral agencies, and the community at large.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.
• Other duties and responsibilities as changed or assigned at any time.
