Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Rockford, IL to support seniors at home with personal care and daily living activities. The role offers a flexible PRN schedule and opportunities for skill-building.

You will assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, meal prep, and companionship, ensuring safety and dignity for clients. A valid IL driver’s license and CPR are required, with tuition discounts for further education at Rasmussen University.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six months of healthcare experience, preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid IL driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful nature, good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client conditions, notifying a supervisor of any concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways and engage clients in activities they enjoy.
