Job summary

Visiting Angels Quad Cities, IA is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in the Quad Cities area, including Davenport and Bettendorf. The role focuses on compassionate in-home care, mobility assistance, meal prep, and medication reminders, with opportunities for training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

The position offers full- and part-time shifts with several shift options, and pays $14.00–$16.00 per hour, requiring a valid driver’s license and a compassionate attitude

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
