Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors throughout Richardson, Carrollton, Dallas and surrounding North Texas communities. This role focuses on compassionate in-home care, light housekeeping, meal preparation and mobility assistance, with flexible shifts available.

You will receive training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care and access benefits such as health insurance, paid time off and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate in-home care.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Pet-friendly environment and safety-conscious caregiver.
• Minimum 2 years experience in elder/home care.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Housekeeping and basic cooking skills with dietary awareness.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Strong ethics and compassionate demeanor.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Physical endurance for mobility assistance.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around the home.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients.
• Shop for or accompany clients during shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
