Visiting Angels is hiring a Patient Care Aide - PCA to support seniors across North Texas, including Richardson, Garland, Plano, Addison, and surrounding areas. This role emphasizes compassionate, in-home care with flexible shifts and growth opportunities.

As a PCA, you will assist with daily living tasks, mobility, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and meal planning, ensuring clients stay safe and comfortable at home. Join a caring team dedicated to dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks.
