Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter to safely move patients between beds and departments and to retrieve medical records and documentation as requested.

Responsibilities include removing and replacing medical devices, assisting with lifting patients onto gurneys, inspecting equipment, documenting maintenance, and supporting discharge processing while adhering to health, safety and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is preferred.
• BLS certification is required within six weeks of employment.
• CNA/NA certification preferred for nursing-related transport duties.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients/residents to and from beds to other areas and departments.
• Retrieve medical records, prescriptions and other clinical documentation as requested.
• Remove/replace medical devices and assist with lifting patients to gurneys or wheelchairs.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance to transportation tools and devices.
• Document and request maintenance as needed and comply with health, safety, and security policies.
• Assist with discharge processing, linens, transporting specimens or belongings when required.
