Job summary

Cano Health is seeking a patient transport professional to move patients between clinics and appointments in a courteous, timely manner. You will stay in touch with the office for schedule updates and assist patients with in-vehicle mobility and wheelchairs.

The role requires a clean driving record, basic mechanical knowledge to inspect the vehicle, and flexibility to work at various sites, including clinics, with potential travel involved.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Up to 1 year driving experience is required; patient transportation preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Knowledge of local streets and addresses is important.
• Customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and return of patients as per schedule.
• Stays in contact with the office to report schedule changes.
• Assist patients to get in and out of the vehicle and with wheelchairs.
• Ensure passenger safety and provide courteous service.
• Work flexible shifts and travel to assigned clinics.
• Deliveries, Holter monitors, and miscellaneous pickups as needed.
• Transport patients to hospitals or specialists as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and mechanical safety; report incidents immediately.
• Comply with company policies and confidentiality requirements.
