The role ensures safety and well-being, follows Joint Commission and state regulations, and conducts routing vehicle checks. The Driver communicates with the Transportation Coordinator, maintains required documentation, and participates in performance improvement initiatives to enhance hospital operations and patient

• Assists in controlling patients’ behavior as directed.
• Ensures safety and well-being of patients during transport and activities.
• Adheres to facility safety rules and infection control policies.
• Communicates with Transportation Coordinator for pick-up/drop-off schedules.
• Documents observations and patient status during transport.
• Maintains on-call communication with nursing/admission staff during transport.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality assessment activities.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
