Xanitos, Inc. is hiring for a Full-Time Patient Sitter to cover 2nd and 3rd shifts at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, PA. The role requires vigilant patient observation, direct bedside presence, and coordination with the nursing team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to read English. Training will be provided for required certifications and hospital procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/AED or BLS certification required.
• Post-offer medical, background, and drug test required.
• Ability to read and understand English for patient information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient's condition visually and audibly at all times.
• Remain at bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Redirect patient from at-risk behaviors.
• Complete observation reports at required times.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety.
• Escorts patient for diagnostics and supports care as directed.
