Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Patient Food Service team member to perform patient meal delivery from order to tray, assist in the tray line, diet office, and formula room, and support quality monitoring.

You will assist patients with food selections, communicate special needs to clinical nutrition staff, maintain tray appearance, follow HACCP standards, and uphold hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year or more of experience in customer service or food and nutrition services.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with food selections and communicating special needs to clinical nutrition staff in a timely and pleasant manner.
• Assists with tray line preparation tasks.
• Accurately checks patient trays to ensure meals match current diet orders and maintain tray appearance.
• Accurately prepares patient snacks and express meals.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Possesses and utilizes advanced knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Has working knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Follows guidelines for delivering patient meals and retrieving patient trays.
• Demonstrates excellent customer relations in all job functions.
• Adheres to administrative, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
