Job summary

Corpus Christi Rehabilitation Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Diet Aide to join our patient care team. You will assist in serving meals to patients, visitors, and staff, maintain safe food handling, and support dietary operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a Food Handler's license, and strong organizational and communication skills. CPR certification is a plus, and experience in patient services is preferred.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers license required.

• CPR certification preferred.
• Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements and use of Nutritional Care Manual.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

• Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the service of meals for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Unpacking and visually inspecting food stock; preparing, pouring, and portioning food.
• Carrying heavy trays, pots, etc.; delivering meals to patients; maintaining sanitary work environment and food handling.
• Cleaning work station area and equipment; washing dishes, pots, silverware, etc.
• Integrates the hospital's mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.
