Job summary

AdventHealth in Lake Placid, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support admissions, room preparation, and daily patient care. You will transfer patients with assistance, document vital signs and treatments, and serve as a liaison among patients, families, and clinicians.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential, along with basic computer skills. Requires a high school diploma, CPR/BLS certification, and Florida background screening compliance; pays $15.73–$25.16 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• CPCT/A, CNA, or EMT certification required.
• Florida background screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepares rooms for admissions and orients patients to their rooms.
• Transfers patients between beds with assistance as needed.
• Documents vital signs, intake/output, and weights per policy.
• Collects and labels specimens for lab analysis.
• Reports patient status changes promptly to the care team.
• Maintains accurate patient records and unit census.
• Responds to patient call lights and assists with daily living activities.
