Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support a collaborative nursing team, assist RNs with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

This role requires a high school diploma, no prior experience, and BLS within 30 days of hire; CNA or EMS training preferred. Comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: None required.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• CNA training and certification or EMS training and EMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, and assist with daily living activities.
• Support the RN with care plans and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist with patient transfers, turning, mobility and use of assistive devices.
• Document observations and communicate with the assigned RN.
• Perform hourly rounding and use AIDET when interacting with patients.
