Job summary

Medical City Weatherford is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our nursing team. You will assist Registered Nurses with daily patient care, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for patients and their families.

You will support preparation, non-medicated care, cleanliness of patient areas, inventory of supplies, and effective communication with patients and the care team to uphold safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
