Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis seeks a Patient Care Technician who will support the patient care team under RN supervision. The role is designed for nursing students, with an 8-hour shift per week schedule.

The incumbent will perform vital signs, EKGs, hygiene assistance, and charting in EPIC, while contributing to safe patient care and regulatory readiness. Non-exempt status applies.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in an RN program with an accredited nursing school or graduated from an RN program within the last 6 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification required; previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides for patient needs as part of the patient care team under the supervision of the RN.
• Takes vital signs, pain assessment, accuchecks, EKGs, hygiene support, feeding assistance, and nourishment management.
• Performs charting in EPIC including vital signs, restraints, intake/output, pain scales, skin care, ADLs, and calorie counts.
• Assists in safe transfer and transport of patients using equipment and body mechanics.
• Supports regulatory readiness and maintains clean, stocked environments; participates in unit-based patient experience initiatives.
• Performs position-specific tasks in the Main OR area as required.
