Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Care Technician to support nursing teams under RN supervision. The role emphasizes measuring vital signs, documenting results, recognizing patient concerns, and collaborating with care team members to ensure patient comfort and safety.

You will assist with daily activities, reposition patients, and help maintain a clean, organized room environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS on hire; maintain current BLS certification.
• One year of patient care experience in a healthcare facility or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with daily activities (hygiene, grooming, bathroom use).
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist nursing staff with basic treatments as directed.
• Ensure adequate patient care supplies and clean linen.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Position patients and assist with mobility as needed.
• Assist with drains, ostomies, and Foley bags.
• Perform blood glucose checks.
• Support department leadership as assigned.
