Job summary

Qualifications

• Maintain clinical competency for the unit of assignment and participate in annual skill verification.
• Knowledge of general hospital processes and ability to work with health care teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to use EMR software.

Responsibilities

• Commit to mission, vision and core values in daily patient care.
• Assist with patient care under RN guidance and document in EMR.
• Obtain and record vitals, height, weight and glucose as required.
• Perform ADLs and ensure room safety and proper labeling of belongings.
• Assist with meals, ambulation, transfers, and linen/stock duties as directed.
• Transport patients when needed and assist with admissions/discharges.
• Collect specimens and support wound care as directed by RN.
• Maintain infection control, safety and confidentiality of patient information.
