HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital in Port St. Lucie, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our collaborative nursing team.

You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patients, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for those we serve. This role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and attention to detail as you assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, contributing to our mission to improve lives every day.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• C.N.A. License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality.
