Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care under the supervision of RN/LPN. The role involves preparing patient rooms, assisting with procedures, and ensuring safety and comfort through precise care and documentation.

You will communicate with patients and families, maintain unit competencies, and participate in performance improvement initiatives. CNA/BLS credentials or active enrollment in a nursing program are required, with the possibility of growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Must meet one of the following: one year of direct patient care, successful CNA training, CNA license, or current nursing program enrollment with 2 clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN.
• Communicates with patients, families and members of the patient care team.
• Maintains hospital and unit-specific competencies.
• Promotes a supportive and healing environment to enhance customer and staff satisfaction.
• Assists in emergency situations as directed by an RN/LPN.
• Transports patients and specimens as needed.
