Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Plano is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support our nursing team by assisting with vital signs, daily living activities, and mobility, helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will work closely with Registered Nurses to monitor conditions, ensure patient comfort, and maintain clean, stocked spaces while communicating compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
