Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Nurse Technician for Med/Surg 7South on a full-time day shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). Under RN supervision, you provide compassionate patient-focused care and help keep the unit safe and efficient.

Preferred candidates have at least one year of Nurse Technician or Patient Care Technician experience, a completed accredited program, and current BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program, with documentation of completion.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and support the care team.
