Job summary

BayCare seeks a Patient Care Technician at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City to provide hands-on patient care under RN/LPN supervision. This full-time position offers day and night shifts within a supportive clinical team and a comprehensive benefits program.

The role requires CNA experience or 6 months in hospital, nursing fundamentals, and BLS. Candidates with a Florida CNA license, or completion of approved CNA/Nurse Assistant programs, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of CNA work experience in a skilled nursing facility; or a minimum of 6 months of PCT/CNA work experience in a hospital; or CNA school with clinicals; or nursing student with Nursing Fundamentals completion.
• Extended new hire training and orientation are available for new Florida licensed CNA with no experience yet.
• High School Diploma, GED or Certificate of Completion is required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is required.
• Ability to work Full time hours is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
• Assists the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care as directed by the RN.
