Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a dedicated CNA to support patient care under RN supervision within a leading academic medical center. You will assist with daily activities, participate in handoffs, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment for patients and families.

The role emphasizes teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and clear communication. Requires CNA certification in Pennsylvania or RN without a BSN, plus a high school diploma or GED; BSN coursework preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) required.
• CNA certification by the State of Pennsylvania or RN without a BSN degree.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Matriculated in an accredited BSN nursing program preferred; within the nursing fundamentals with a 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at the bedside and assist with daily living activities.
• Participate in RN/CNA handoffs and unit huddles.
• Report vital signs and observations to nurses and document findings.
• Ensure patient safety, hygiene, and comfort at all times.
• Maintain cultural sensitivity and compassionate communication.
