The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist in delivering patient care under the direct clinical supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will perform vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient positioning while ensuring safety and comfort throughout care episodes.

You will document observations, assist with procedures, and participate in ongoing training to maintain competency and patient safety as part of the Nursing department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Maryland Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience providing direct patient care is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Obtain vital signs (including height and weight) and document results.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection per policy.
• Support patient comfort and safety, observe changes and report to RN.
• Assist with positioning, procedures, and post-care tasks under supervision.
• Complete documentation per hospital guidelines and participate in team training.
