Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California's San Rafael Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Registered Nurse in delivering safe, compassionate care. The role focuses on mobility assistance, vital signs, ADLs, and patient monitoring as part of a coordinated care team.

You will help with tasks such as feeding, turning, EKGs when required, and maintaining a clean bedside. The position is part-time with a day shift; prior hospital experience and BLS are valued; Current California CNA

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months experience in a hospital, clinic or SNF/Home Health setting as a nurse assistant, care partner, medical assistant or student nurse with one semester in a clinical setting.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Current California State Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and patient monitoring (vital signs, I&O, etc.).
• Onsite work at Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Hospital, California.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse to provide safe, quality care.
• Support mobility and transfer tasks; ambulate, reposition, and transport patients.
• Assist with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, toileting, hydration, oral care).
• Assist with patient monitoring and reporting vital signs; may perform EKGs as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment; restock supplies and ensure bedside neatness.
• May act as a sitter to support patient safety as needed.
