Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for Med Surg. The role supports patient care, data collection, and discharge processes on a full-time day shift in a busy 851-bed Magnet-designated hospital.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BCLS, CPI training, and program-specific PCT training or EMT/foreign-nurse equivalents. Collaboration with nurses and a patient‑centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required prior to independent patient care.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required annually.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced hospital environment with teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data, supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement and safety initiatives.
