Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver high quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of an RN. You will perform delegated nursing tasks and support daily living activities in a safe, clean environment.

You will record patient information, assist with mobility, monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and support discharge processes. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED; CPR/BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• No travel required; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated basic patient care under supervision of an RN.
• Records initial and ongoing patient information, vital signs, intake/output.
• Assists with mobility and therapeutic activities; uses mobility aids.
• Collects specimens and ensures proper labeling and timely transfer.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and maintains a safe environment.
• Supports monitor/telemetry functions when needed.
• Engages in evidence-based practices to improve patient experience.
