Job summary

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility, seeks a patient care assistant to support licensed nurses in providing compassionate, biopsychosocial patient care on a fast-paced unit. You will assist with basic care tasks and document observations under supervision, contributing to a safe and healing environment.

Experience preferred and BLS certification required; orientation provides necessary training.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency required.
• Previous patient care giving experience preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required within orientation.
• Effective communication and time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients.
• Provides direct care with limited invasive procedures and performs duties as assigned.
• Reports patient welfare, safety and security to the RN and supports the care team.
