Job summary

Texoma Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Nurse Aide to assist licensed nurses in delivering patient care at our 414-bed facility in Denison, Texas.

Responsibilities include providing direct patient care under supervision, performing duty tasks as certified, and adhering to Texas Board of Nursing delegable tasks. CNA or Medical Assistant coursework and BLS are preferred. This role offers growth opportunities within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency.
• Two years of performing as a nursing assistant in the healthcare profession preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider course will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
• Must be able to provide basic care giving skills and communicate effectively, with time management and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner.
• Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates.
• Position provides direct care with limited invasive procedures.
