HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our dedicated nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses in delivering hands‑on care and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Core tasks include monitoring vitals, aiding mobility, and assisting with daily living activities. You will contribute to quality care by addressing patient needs, communicating effectively with families and staff, and ensuring clean, well‑stocked patient areas

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non‑medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
