Job summary

Advocate HealthCare is seeking a CRU Patient Care Companion to provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital environment in Park Ridge, IL. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patients, supporting nutrition, and communicating with RNs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work weekends/holidays is required.

CPR certification is needed. The role is full-time (36 hours/week) with benefits eligibility, and pays from $18.85 to $28.30 per hour depending

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure, safe environment and monitor patients at all times.
• Assist with AM/PM care, including grooming, hygiene and basic personal care.
• Support nutritional needs: meal setup, tray distribution, and fluid intake.
• Document patient information and communicate changes to the RN promptly.
• Respond to call lights and assist with patient movement and transport as needed.
• Provide patient and family education in collaboration with the health care team.
