Job summary

Logan Health Medical Center is seeking a PRN Day Shift Nursing Assistant to support day-to-day patient care in assigned areas. The role involves assisting with activities, monitoring patients, and communicating with nursing staff while upholding patient privacy and safety.

The ideal candidate has healthcare experience, CPR certification, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or related experience preferred.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification or must successfully obtain as applicable to assigned area(s).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and under stressful situations.
• Understand confidentiality laws including HIPAA.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with others while maintaining discretion and patient privacy.
• Maintains observation of assigned patient(s) and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Provides care to patients within scope of practice and treatment plans.
• Multitasks and prioritizes to manage changing workloads.
• Adheres to patient safety and department procedures; environmental cleanliness.
• Documents patient behaviors and coordinates with nursing staff.
