Qualifications

• High School Graduation or GED required.
• Successful completion of a nursing assistant, EMT, or medical assistant program of study.
• Two (2) years of employment at a licensed medical facility in the role of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant may be applied in lieu of program of study

Responsibilities

• Greet patients on the phone and in clinic in a warm, friendly tone.
• Register and interview patients to obtain accurate demographic and financial information.
• Schedule appointments and follow up tests; handle referrals and prior authorizations.
• Assist patients, nurses and providers in patient care in the clinic setting.
• Perform vital signs and obtain history of chief complaint.
• Conduct Point of Care Testing and document QC for each test.
